Communications Technician (Entry Level or Experienced)

Position:

Communications Technician (Entry Level or Experienced) What You'll Do RCM technicians work with a wide range of communications and technology systems, including: Two-way radio systems Public safety communications equipment Vehicle communications installations Microwave and IP-connected networks Dispatch consoles Emergency vehicle equipment GPS and fleet tracking systems Fire station alerting systems Wireless and cellular communication technologies A typical day may include: Installing communications equipment in vehicles Programming and configuring radio systems Troubleshooting customer equipment Assisting with network and infrastructure installations Supporting police, fire, EMS, public works, and commercial customers Learning new technologies through hands-on training No prior radio experience is required. We provide training for motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow. Schedule Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 30-minute lunch break Compensation Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and qualifications. $18-$22 per hour (entry level) Higher compensation may be available for experienced candidates. A company vehicle is provided once technicians are able to work independently in the field.

Qualifications Required:

Clean driving record Clean criminal record Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to work professionally with customers and coworkers Ability to problem solve independently and as part of a team Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work outdoors when necessary (hot and cold) Ability to read and write in

English Preferred:

Basic understanding of vehicle electrical systems (12V) Basic computer skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office Basic understanding of networking and IP-based systems Electronics, automotive, IT, military communications, amateur radio, or related experience Why RCM?
