Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Fiber Optic Field Technician (1099) and become a vital part of expanding high-speed connectivity. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic networks to ensure seamless communication services. Your expertise will help bridge communities and empower businesses with reliable internet solutions. We're seeking motivated professionals eager to work in the field, utilizing their technical skills to deliver exceptional service and support the growth of cutting-edge telecommunication infrastructure. Responsibilities Perform fiber splicing, termination, and testing to ensure optimal signal quality and network performance Install, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic cables and related telecommunication equipment in various field environments Use hand tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices to diagnose issues and verify system integrity Set up and configure network hardware such as Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, and telephony systems for client sites Conduct cabling runs, mechanical installations, and low voltage wiring in compliance with industry standards Assist in the installation of telecommunication infrastructure including cable trays, enclosures, and conduit systems Document all work performed accurately through detailed reports and logs for quality assurance and future reference Qualifications Proven experience with fiber splicing, network installation, and telecommunication systems Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, Cisco routers, and low voltage wiring Hands-on experience with field service tasks involving cabling, mechanical installations, and electrical troubleshooting Familiarity with telephony systems and Ethernet network configurations Ability to operate hand tools effectively and use testing equipment such as ohmmeters for diagnostics Mechanical knowledge related to cable management, conduit installation, and equipment mounting Prior service technician experience in telecommunications or electrical fields is highly desirable Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues on-site Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to travel locally for field assignments Embark on a rewarding career where your technical expertise makes a tangible impact!
