We are looking for a hands-on Field Engineer to join our Operations team and support the deployment, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced edge systems in the field. This role is ideal for someone with technical field experience who enjoys working with hardware, solving problems on-site, and supporting complex systems in real-world environments. No prior traffic industry experience is required. We are looking for candidates with strong technical aptitude, electrical or low-voltage systems experience, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Responsibilities Install, configure, test, and support field-deployed systems at customer sites and intersections Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and maintenance on hardware and edge devices Support system deployments, commissioning, and operational validations Work closely with Operations, Support, and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues Read and follow wiring diagrams, installation guides, and technical documentation Perform hardware replacements, upgrades, and field maintenance activities Document installations, issues, and resolutions clearly and accurately Travel to customer sites as needed for deployments and support activities Requirements Technical field experience in electrical systems, low-voltage systems, telecommunications, industrial equipment, field installations, or similar environments Technician certification, military technical background, trade school training, or equivalent hands-on experience Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Comfortable working independently in the field Ability to use technical tools and follow installation procedures Basic understanding of networking or Linux — an advantage Experience working with hardware/software integrated systems — an advantage Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly Nice to Have Experience in field service, infrastructure deployments, smart systems, or industrial environments Experience working with municipalities or outdoor installations Familiarity with networking equipment, IoT devices, or edge systems Electrical safety or field technician certifications
