Job Description
Low Voltage Cable Technician (Local Market | Omaha-Based) Are you looking for steady, hands-on work where you can build real technical skills and not be stuck doing the same thing every day? We're hiring low voltage technicians based in the Omaha area. This role is primarily local, with occasional travel (up to ~50%) depending on project needs. About Us Prime Connected is a national low voltage company with over 20 years of experience supporting the healthcare industry. We install and support systems like: Patient monitoring Nurse call systems Structured cabling (cat/fiber) Emerging healthcare technology Our technicians work in active hospital environments, helping install the systems that healthcare teams rely on every day. What You'll Be Doing This is a hands-on, field-based role.
You will:
Install and terminate category cable and fiber Work in hospitals, including ceilings, IDF/MDF rooms, and patient areas Read prints and follow project scope Test, label, and document cabling installs Work with a team to complete projects on time and on budget Travel to job sites as needed (primarily local, with some overnight travel) What We're Looking For Experience with structured cabling (cat cable and/or fiber) Ability to work in active job site environments (ladders, ceilings, physical work) Strong attention to detail Reliable and able to work independently when needed Good communication with team members and leadership Requirements Valid driver's license Ability to pass background checks required for hospital work Willingness to complete required vaccinations for healthcare environments Ability to distinguish colors (for cabling) Able to read, write, and communicate in English Travel Expectations Based in Omaha / surrounding area Primarily local work Up to 25-50% travel depending on project needs Benefits 401(k) + company match Health, dental, and vision insurance HSA options Paid time off Life insurance Tuition reimbursement Referral program Ongoing training and skill development Bottom Line If you want consistent work, real technical skill growth, and the chance to work on meaningful projects without being on the road full-time, this is a strong opportunity.Similar jobs in Omaha, NE
