A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

Job Description
- Diagnose, install, troubleshoot, maintain, and integrate digital and analog systems, including Access Control, CCTV, Network, Visitor Management, and Security systems
- Provide on-site technical support and training to customers and end-users.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and ensure proper commissioning/documentation and startup of Systems.
- Install, replace, and recommission Systems devices, while maintaining test records and creating necessary documentation.
- Provide on-site training, emergency, warranty, and after-hours services, and adhere to safety requirements
- Assist in field startup, material logistics, and demonstrate proficiency in relevant engineering tools. What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Strong understanding of analog/digital signals, relay logic, structured cabling, building infrastructure, software/testing tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver exceptional service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of MS Office applications.
- 2+ years of security technician experience with installation, service, or both
- Must have analog and digital CCTV installation and/or service experience
- Must have experience with Access Control systems - installation, confirguration, maintenance, troubleshooting,
- OSHA 30 and SST are highly preferred
- Strong preference for certification in one or more of the following areas: Genetec, Lenel, AMAG, or Commend What's in it for me?
