A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Field Technician's primary responsibility is performing end-to-end Internet Service installation at customer locations, both residential and commercial.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform site-survey at new customer locations. Configure, install, and test rooftop radio and associated equipment. o Radio, utility box, power, cable runs, rooftop mounting kit. Configure, install, and test wireless router. Run, clip and test cable for all data drops. Install data jacks. Radio alignment with hub radios Tower climbing (up to 60 feet) Tower radio installation and cable runs Troubleshoot and repair customer Internet issues. Track and document inventory. Document all work activity and other administrative duties. Perform work and operate work vehicles in accordance with Tribal and OSHA standards. Ability to identify and resolve technical/client issues in high-paced environment. Perform maintenance and installation at Internet hub sites. Other duties as required. .
QUALIFICATIONS
One year of Internet service installations or one year of IT field work. One year experience running, clipping, and testing data cable. High School diploma required. Must have a valid New Mexico Driver's License. One year customer service/interaction. Must have exceptional customer service skills. Should be adept in problem assessment and conflict resolution. Must be a self-starter. Must be able to work comfortably in a team environment. Working knowledge of WAN, LAN, and
WIRELESS
technology Other requirements Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds Must be able to clime ladders up to 20 feet Must be able to stand for extended periods Must be able work under desks, in confined areas, on rooftops Must be able to work outdoors (some work during inclement weather may be required)
