Description of Talent:
$30-$50 /hr (based on skill set) As a Field System Installer you will be responsible for customer installations and maintenance of electronic and communications equipment in buildings, radio communications tower sites, and critical use vehicles Essential Duties and Responsibilities Understand installation plans for communications and electrical systems by reading drawings, schematics, blueprints, and other visual aids to determine where and how to install each component of the system. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems by running diagnostic tests to determine whether there is an issue with the wiring or a part, or needs replacement. Participate and be part of the commissioning and testing team for installation projects. Physical installation of data cabling and associated mounting Infrastructure Build out closets to include racking equipment or installing ladder racks, ladder trays or J-Hooks for running cable. Maintain and update customer information, repair logs, inventory, parts and material and similar records by using basic computer skills. Support commissioning of communications and low voltage systems Perform site walks to determine installation requirements to leverage in customer proposals Recommend appropriate equipment and hardware that meets customer requirements Data cabling (CAT 5/6, Coaxial, Fiber, Support Devices, etc.) Proficient in distributed antenna system (DAS) installation Installation and/or repair experience in either two-way radio, CCTV, security alarms, RF signal distribution, broadband, and low voltage systems We prefer: Education and/or experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent military experience. 3 years' electronic / mechanical / construction experience. Project Lead with 3-5 years' experience the installation of Communications and Technical Electronics and IT infrastructure equipment Required Skills/Abilities Provide Professional Technical and Safety Training to the installation team Certified ETA Communications Site Installer (R56) Expert use of hand and power tools Advanced use of computer applications and with basic IT Infrastructure setup Follow best practices appropriate to the work environment and customer needs OSHA 10 hour certified Some Regional and/or Overnight Travel and On-Call Hours May Be Required. Per Diem Provided When Traveling Ability to understand basic wiring diagrams and basic DC circuit theory preferred. Experience installing cable, related support devices, and terminating coaxial cable preferred. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Basic understanding of mathematical concepts. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability and desire to learn new skills.
Physical Requirements:
