1099 Independent Contractor We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Technician to join our dynamic telecommunications team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, splicing, testing, and maintaining fiber optic and copper cables that form the backbone of modern telecommunications networks. Your expertise in network installation and field service will ensure reliable connectivity for residential and commercial clients. Responsibilities Install and troubleshoot telecommunications infrastructure including fiber optic cables, Ethernet wiring, and copper cabling in residential and commercial settings Perform fiber splicing with precision using specialized tools to ensure optimal signal quality Use hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, cable cutters, and power tools to prepare and secure cables Test equipment using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and equipment testers to verify proper installation and performance Operate company vehicles safely to reach job sites across various outdoor locations Conduct satellite dish installation, telephony setup, and electrical work as needed for comprehensive service delivery Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and testing procedures while adhering to safety standards Qualifications Proven experience working as a telecommunications infrastructure technician or similar field service role Strong knowledge of network installation including Ethernet, telecommunication cables, and fiber splicing techniques Proficiency with Cisco routers, equipment testing devices, wire strippers, wire crimpers, voltmeters, and ohmmeters Ability to use ladders safely and effectively in outdoor environments for cable placement at various heights Experience with satellite dish installation and residential telecommunications setup is a plus Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during client interactions Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a company vehicle responsibly Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while carrying equipment and materials

Pay:

$1,200.00 - $2,000.00 per week
