A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

Fiber Optic Cable experience required. Install and maintain voice, data, security, and VoIP communication systems and equipment. Complete assigned work orders with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Use a laptop and various software applications to manage work orders and documentati
Qualifications:
1-5 years of experience in telecommunications or a related electrical field. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with a high level of technical aptitude. Experience working with Cisco systems or similar equipment manufacturers
Working Conditions:
Home-based dispatch. Weekend and on-call work may be required as needed.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide high-level customer service Drive to and from customers' business locations in a defined geographic area performing installation and repair of internet, copper and fiber cabling, rack mounted routers, demarcation extensions, etc. Receive and complete work orders from a centralized dispatch center ensuring that routes are efficient, and that service is delivered in a timely manner Troubleshoot technical issues such as installing cable runs, swapping out cards, installing data circuits for internet connections Ensure vehicle, test equipment, and tools are maintained in excellent condition
Qualifications:
5 plus years of previous experience in telecommunications, business installation, and service for electronics and appliances, security, cabling Ability to test, measure and troubleshoot fiber optic networks Our benefits package includes:
