Field Technician

Description Dominion Energy is looking for a Field Technician to assist in there Columbia facilities. This role will support very central locations in the area with a team to support. This position is crucial to keep the infrastructure up for outages and customer needs. As a Telecommunications Technician, you will apply your basic knowledge of all areas of telecommunications and perform maintenance on telecommunications equipment. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Installing and wiring routers/switches, coordinating for configuration and troubleshooting.
• Install and provision of transport equipment and ethernet services supporting MPLS network
• Testing, deployment, and documentation supporting system upgrades, patches, and maintenance window activities.
• Respond to system and service outages as well as storm/disaster support
• Participate in maintenance window cutovers and system grooms
• Installation and wiring of routers/switches along with coordination with multiple groups for configuration and troubleshooting.
• Effectively identify and utilizes the proper resources to develop solutions and devise new approaches to problems encountered in work assignments. Skills lan wan, data circuits Top Skills Details lan wan,data circuits Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Electrical/Electronic and SCADA knowledge are a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cayce, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
