A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.

Job Description
Qualifications:
Previous experience designating utilities and performing records research required, preferably in an engineering design environment.1-3 years field experience in utility designating.Working knowledge of Ground Penetrating Radar, Electromagnetic pipe & cable locating equipment, and vacuum excavation a plus.
Strong management and organizational skills while performing field operations.
Experience with DOT, municipal, and/or public utility projects a plus. Skills involved in the preparation/organization of field sketches & digital photographs, completion of daily checklists & timesheets, and vehicle navigation are required.
Surveying and/or drafting experience a plus, but not required.
Position will involve some travel out of town.
Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the companys driving (MVR) policy.
