This is a full-time position offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a positive, team-focused company culture. Compensation will be based on experience, technical knowledge, and skill set. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Candidates must also have flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation and accommodate occasional after-hours work related to customer installations, upgrades, or service needs. Position Overview The Level 2 Technician is an experienced telecommunications professional capable of independently installing, programming, troubleshooting, and servicing both hosted/cloud-based and on-premise telecommunications systems . This position works closely with customers, Project Managers, and other technicians to ensure successful installations, reliable system performance, and an excellent customer experience. Responsibilities Install, program, configure, and service hosted and on-premise telecommunications solutions based on each customer's specific requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve telecommunications, network, hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure installations and projects are completed accurately and according to customer specifications. Maintain accurate documentation related to installations, service work, programming, and customer configurations. Stay current on product updates, software releases, system upgrades, and industry changes. Complete required manufacturer and product training. Participate in the company's scheduled on-call rotation. Provide professional, responsive, and customer-focused service during installations and support interactions. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical education or certifications are a plus. Five or more years of telecommunications industry experience preferred. Previous IT or networking experience is highly desirable. Experience programming and supporting premise-based telecommunications systems. Experience programming and supporting hosted/cloud-based phone systems. Working knowledge of data switches, networking, and IP-based communications. Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills. Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software and technologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong customer service skills and a professional, outgoing personality. Telecommunications, networking, or manufacturer certifications are a plus. Ability to occasionally lift and carry equipment weighing up to 35 pounds .
