Monday to Friday, with travel as needed Job Summary We are seeking a Field Technician to support telecommunications field operations across Tennessee. This role will involve field data collection, site surveys, documentation, quality checks, and support for broadband, fiber, and telecom infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in the field, traveling to assigned locations, using mobile field tools, collecting accurate data, and supporting engineering and project teams with clear documentation. Key Responsibilities Perform field surveys and collect data for telecom and broadband infrastructure projects. Visit assigned field locations to review site conditions, utility poles, equipment, routes, and existing infrastructure. Document field findings using approved mobile applications, photos, maps, and reporting tools. Support OSP, fiber, utility, and telecom project teams with accurate field data. Review and verify information related to aerial and underground telecom infrastructure. Assist with quality checks, construction support, and project documentation. Identify field issues, missing information, access concerns, safety issues, or design conflicts. Communicate updates clearly with supervisors, engineers, and project teams. Follow all company, customer, and field safety requirements. Maintain accurate records and submit daily updates as required. Required Qualifications Experience in field work, telecom, fiber, utilities, construction, or technical support. Comfortable working outdoors and traveling to different field locations. Ability to read maps, follow routes, and document site conditions accurately. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Basic computer and mobile device skills. Ability to take clear photos and enter field data accurately. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Experience with telecom, OSP, fiber, broadband, utility pole inspections, or field surveys. Familiarity with tools such as Google Maps, Google Earth, GIS tools, IKE, Fulcrum, Katapult, or other field data collection applications. Knowledge of aerial and underground fiber infrastructure. Experience supporting FTTx, FTTH, broadband deployment, or utility projects. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Work Environment This is a field-based position supporting projects throughout Tennessee. The role may require daily travel to assigned sites, outdoor work in different weather conditions, walking job sites, and collecting field data in active project areas.
