A Telecommunications Field Technician telecommunications Field Service Technician installs, repairs and maintains voice, data and video systems for a company's customers at the customer site. Prepares and documents a customer's network prior to implementing telecommunication system. Installs IP, network equipment and facilities. Acts as the first point of issue resolution, responds to field engineering issues and troubleshooting telecommunication problems. May train less experienced field technicians.
Job Summary We're looking for experienced field technicians to complete on-demand service calls in the San Antonio and Austin areas. This is independent contractor work — you choose the jobs and days that fit your schedule, and you're paid per completed job at a rate equivalent to $25/hour. While you'll work independently on-site, you won't be left to figure things out alone: we provide basic onboarding and ongoing support so new technicians have someone to reach out to, not a full training program, but real backup when you need it.
