  • Full-time Interwest Technology Systems, an established Communications / Low Voltage Service firm has opening(s) for full-time experienced Communications Technician to join our team.
This position is responsible for installation, service, and repair of PBX & Key Telephone system, network device installation and programming, small network cabling projects, installing, programming, and servicing a variety of Communication products and systems along with peripheral equipment in compliance with manufacturers and industry standards.
Qualifications:
Technician must possess experience with installing, programming and testing of installed systems and resolving system issues. Experience with interfacing IP systems and platform programming. Troubleshoot and service existing systems from a service standpoint. Capable of installing system cabling, cross connecting, and trouble shoot cabling issues. Maintain accurate inventory of equipment, product, systems licenses, records, and files. Balance multiple projects, and service calls. Ability to perform effectively as part of a team. Write, read, and communicate clearly and professionally with customers and staff. Read and understand the requirements of system specifications and customer requirements. Thorough understanding of the commercial telecommunications industry and systems. Competent knowledge in industry standards, practices, and NEC codes as related to installations. Certifications or verifiable experience with the following manufactured systems a plus: NEC, Toshiba, Mitel, Avaya, Nortel, plus other telephone systems, and Bogen, Valcom, and Aiphone Intercom / Paging systems. Possess a current driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Pre-employment background, motor vehicle records, & screening required. Ability to perform work on folding
