Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Internet Installation Technician and become a vital part of delivering reliable, high-quality internet services to homes and businesses. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic and network systems, ensuring seamless connectivity for our customers. Your technical expertise and hands-on skills will help bridge the digital divide and empower communities with fast, dependable internet access. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the field, utilize a variety of tools, and develop your telecommunications skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Install fiber optic cables, Ethernet wiring, and telecommunication systems according to industry standards and safety protocols Perform fiber splicing and cable management to ensure optimal signal quality and durability Set up and configure Cisco routers, switches, and other networking equipment for various customer sites Conduct network testing using tools such as ohmmeters and low voltage testers to verify system integrity Troubleshoot connectivity issues related to Ethernet, telephony, or low voltage systems on-site Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble, mount, and secure cabling infrastructure in diverse environments Document installation processes, system configurations, and service reports accurately for each project Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or field installer in telecommunication or networking environments Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, IP addressing, and network protocols Hands-on experience with fiber splicing techniques and cable cabling best practices Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and basic network configuration procedures Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools effectively in tight or challenging spaces Electrical experience or background in low voltage wiring is highly desirable Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting network issues Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel frequently for field service assignments This energetic role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their telecommunications expertise while making a tangible impact on connectivity solutions.
