Job Description

Rocky's Marine is a busy Boat and Yamaha Outboard Sales and Service Shop in Petersburg, Alaska. We have an opening for a full time, year round Marine Technician. Marine industry experience is required. You will join a hardworking team of skilled marine technicians and Yamaha Master Techs servicing Yamaha Outboards, Volvo Penta systems, boat electrical and fuel systems, and trailers. Technicians must have a thorough understanding of the Diagnostic Process, Two Stroke and Four Stroke Theory, Electrical Diagnostics, and general shop processes. Specialized training is available for motivated individuals. Technicians are required to keep accurate records to assist the sales and service department's operation within the dealership. Assure that all charges related to repair orders are recorded properly.
Responsibilities:
Performs repair order requests and warranty work. Promptly provides service department with repair orders for filing and recording. Maintains contact with service and sales department. Promotes products and/or services to meet customer needs. Must have 1-year experience in the marine industry. Completes other duties as assigned. Maintains Yamaha credentials. Must be able to lift up to 60lbs. Must have a driver's license.
