Vessel Mechanic

Marine Mechanics perform maintenance and repair on marine oriented equipment including engines, hydraulic power units, and vessels. Mechanical projects range from changing oils and lubricants on vessels and repowering vessels to vessel conversions/rewiring and emergency repairs during emergency response projects. You will operate a significant amount of time in a marine and shop environment. + Takes direction and guidance from the Marine Operations Manager and Local Marine Ops Lead on day to day priorities and tasks. + Work closely with the operations ensure that all marine services and response equipment is maintained per manufactures recommendations. + Responsible for implementing all M&R schedules for Marine Services vessels, skimming systems, and response equipment. + Ensure that the Marine Operations Manager and local Marine Ops Leads receives weekly updates and that all documentation is recorded in M&R records (fleetio/ samsara). + Work with and mentor marine personnel with respect to M&R issues including vessel pre-trip inspections, proper operational procedures, and safe operation. + Must follow all purchasing guidelines and obtain multiple quotes when obtaining outside services Ability to operate vessels, power packs, hydraulic systems, electrical systems Clean driving record (MVR), ability to complete internal driver prequalification training to drive company vehicles and tow trailers. Ability to obtain a CA Boaters card or above to operate company vessels. Ability to complete 40 hr hazwoper training

• Pay Range:

• The pay range for this position is $29.45 to $40.47
• which reflects the minimum wage in multiple jurisdictions. The actual range will depend on the locality in which you are hired.
