If you are mechanically inclined, enjoy working outdoors by the water, and possess strong organizational skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to work in a premier yacht club environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Marine Mechanical Work Perform light mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on club boats, tenders, and small engines. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Assist with basic winterization, de-winterization, and preventative maintenance schedules. 2. Dockmaster & Waterfront Assistance Assist the Dockmaster with daily marina operations, including vessel docking, staging, and moving boats. Monitor dock conditions, secure lines, and ensure safety standards are met across the property. Provide courteous, professional service to club members and visiting boaters. 3. Office & Administrative Support Handle light office tasks, including answering phone inquiries, greeting members, and logging slip assignments or service requests. Utilize basic computer software to maintain records, track maintenance logs, and manage daily communications.
Qualifications & Skills Mechanical Experience:
Basic knowledge of marine engines, outboards, and small gas/diesel machinery (hands-on experience preferred).
Waterfront Familiarity:
Comfort working around docks, boats, and marine environments; boating or sailing knowledge is a strong plus.
Administrative Skills:
Basic proficiency with computers (Microsoft Office, email) and strong organizational skills.
Customer Service:
Friendly, professional demeanor with a strong commitment to member satisfaction.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and safely navigate docks and boats.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
