Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Marine Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of marine equipment and vessels. Your expertise will ensure that all marine systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about marine maintenance and repair. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on marine vessels and equipment using schematics and technical manuals to ensure optimal performance Diagnose mechanical issues and provide accurate solutions in a timely manner Assist customers with inquiries Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs Execute mechanical repairs including engine overhauls, rigging adjustments, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and heavy lifting tasks. Utilize hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and heavy machinery to complete maintenance tasks accurately and efficiently. Interpret technical drawings and schematics to assemble or disassemble components with precision. Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance procedures, and parts used for each vessel or piece of equipment. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering maintenance advice to clients. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Proven experience as a service technician with strong mechanical knowledge in marine or similar industries. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and assembly instructions. Military background or experience is a plus due to familiarity with rigorous maintenance standards. Electrical experience including troubleshooting wiring systems and component repairs. Skilled in rigging techniques Familiarity with vehicle maintenance principles applicable to marine vehicles or heavy equipment. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and precision measuring instruments effectively. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Knowledge of heavy lifting safety procedures and proper use of lifting equipment.
