This role is built for experienced technicians who can diagnose complex issues, complete major repairs, and operate independently at a high level . You'll also play a key role in supporting shop productivity and mentoring other technicians. We are ready to move quickly for the right candidate. What You'll Be Doing Advanced Diagnostics & Repair Diagnose complex issues across outboard engines, fuel systems, and electrical systems Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems independently Complete major repairs including powerheads, lower units, and repowers Identify root causes and implement long-term repair solutions High-Level Service & Production Perform advanced repair work efficiently while maintaining quality standards Handle priority and complex jobs within the shop Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards Document diagnostics and repairs in Lightspeed Rigging & System Integration Lead engine rigging, repowers, and full system installations Install and troubleshoot controls, wiring, and marine systems Verify proper setup, calibration, and performance Shop Leadership & Support Provide guidance to Apprentice and B-Level Technicians Assist with training and development of team members Communicate clearly with Service Advisors and management Support overall shop efficiency and workflow Quality & Performance Ensure all repairs meet dealership quality standards Reduce comebacks through accurate diagnostics and execution Contribute to strong customer satisfaction through quality work What We're Looking For 5+ years of marine technician experience Advanced knowledge of outboard engines (Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki preferred) Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability Experience with major repairs and repower installations Solid understanding of 12V electrical systems Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Team-oriented with a strong work ethic Compensation & Benefits Top-tier pay for A-Level / Master Technicians Up to $10,000 signing bonus + relocation assistance Consistent, high-volume service workload Opportunity to work on complex, high-level repairs Growth opportunities within a stable, expanding organization Work Environment & Schedule Full-time position based in Islamorada, FL Shop and outdoor work environment Must be able to lift and handle heavy equipment Saturday availability required as needed Apply Today If you are a high-level Marine Technician looking for better pay, stronger workload, and an opportunity to work at the top of your skillset , we want to connect.
