Outboard Marine Technician

Boater's World Marine Centers in Islamorada, FL is hiring an Outboard Marine Technician to support daily shop operations, including maintenance, repairs, and rigging. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with mechanical experience who wants to build skills, stay busy, and grow within a high-volume marine dealership . We are actively interviewing and ready to move quickly. What You'll Be Doing Service & Maintenance Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, inspections, and system checks Complete general repairs on outboard engines and marine systems Assist with diagnosing basic mechanical and electrical issues Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards Repair & Shop Support Assist with engine repairs, rigging, and component replacement Support installation of marine accessories and basic electrical components Work alongside senior technicians on more complex repairs Maintain steady productivity in daily shop operations Documentation & Systems Document all service work in Lightspeed Track parts usage and repair details accurately Follow dealership processes for repair orders and documentation Team & Work Environment Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area Communicate with Service Advisors regarding job status Assist with staging boats for service, testing, and delivery Support overall shop workflow and team productivity What We're Looking For Experience in marine, automotive, or mechanical repair preferred Basic knowledge of outboard engines (Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki a plus) Understanding of 12V electrical systems is a plus Ability to follow service manuals and technical instructions Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Why Join Boater's World Marine Centers Signing bonus and relocation assistance available for qualified candidates Consistent, high-volume workload in a strong boating market Opportunity to learn from experienced A-Level and Master Technicians Growth potential within a stable and expanding organization Hands-on role with real skill development Work Environment & Schedule Full-time position based in Islamorada, FL Shop and outdoor work environment Physical role involving lifting tools and equipment Saturday availability required based on business demand Apply Today If you're looking to build your career as a Marine Technician, gain hands-on experience, and grow within a high-performing shop , we want to connect.
