This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and fabrication skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in marine service. You will work with advanced schematics, precision measuring instruments, and power tools to ensure vessels operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering top-tier customer service and supporting our mission to keep marine operations running smoothly. Duties Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on marine vessels, including engines, electrical systems, rigging, and sheet metal components Interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, ohmmeters, and heavy lifting techniques for repairs and fabrication tasks Conduct assembly and disassembly of mechanical systems, ensuring precise fitment using tools like calipers and other measurement instruments Execute electrical troubleshooting and repairs involving wiring harnesses, electrical panels, and electronic systems with a focus on safety standards Assist with vessel rigging, fabrication of custom parts, sheet metal work, and welding projects to meet specific operational needs Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during service interactions Maintain detailed service records, logs of maintenance activities, and safety documentation in compliance with industry standards Experience Proven service technician experience in marine or heavy equipment maintenance environments Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working with engines, rigging, sheet metal fabrication, and vehicle maintenance Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems Electrical experience including wiring repairs, soldering, use of ohmmeters, and electrical diagnostics Experience with welding (MIG/TIG), fabrication techniques, and the use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers Military background or experience working in highly regulated environments is a plus due to familiarity with safety protocols Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools for assembly and maintenance tasks Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to proper ergonomic practices Customer service skills that foster clear communication and client satisfaction during service interactions This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their technical expertise in a vibrant maritime environment.
