Job Description
Description This position will assist faculty/PI in the Marine Mammal Science Program. Examples of Duties Assist faculty with primary research, including literature review, experimental design, data collection, data collection, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and presenting scientific findings at conferences Engage in networking/outreach/collaboration management on funded and unfunded research projects with PI Document and organize for ready use all sessions, data, methods, and other research materials on a daily and weekly basis Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications MS in Marine Mammal Science At least one year of animal-oriented research experience Have experience performing general laboratory techniques Be reliable Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others Communicate clearly verbally and in writing Preferred Qualifications Previous experience or training in a similar assignment, preferred Evidence of prior scientific productivity, including but not limited to co-authorship on manuscripts, attendance of scientific conferences, contribution to laboratory work Marine mammal experience All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring immigration sponsorship, including but not limited to non-immigrant visas, such as H1B, STEM, or F1, now and in the future.
