Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair marine engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components using schematics, technical drawings, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and calipers Perform routine maintenance on marine propulsion systems, electrical wiring, rigging, sheet metal fabrication, welding, soldering, and heavy lifting tasks Interpret technical manuals and schematics to accurately assemble or disassemble mechanical systems and electrical circuits Conduct inspections of ship electrical systems, water transportation equipment, and mechanical systems to identify issues early and prevent failures Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment to execute repairs efficiently Maintain detailed service records, maintenance logs, and incident reports in compliance with safety protocols Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) use guidelines while performing maintenance tasks to ensure safety for yourself and your team Experience Proven service technician experience with a strong background in marine or vehicle maintenance is highly preferred Hands-on experience with marine engine repair, electrical diagnostics, ship electrical systems maintenance, and marine propulsion systems is essential Familiarity with interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and troubleshooting engineering issues in a marine environment Knowledge of water transportation equipment maintenance including diesel mechanics and mechanical systems repair Experience working with military-grade equipment or in military settings is a plus but not required Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, sheet metal fabrication tools, and precision measuring instruments Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of quality and safety protocols Join us if you're passionate about maintaining the integrity of water transportation systems!
