Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Small Engine Mechanic, where you'll play a vital role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines and related equipment. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of machinery, including motorcycles, ATV's, power sports generators, and power tools, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Your mechanical expertise and troubleshooting skills will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Duties Perform detailed diagnostics on small engines and equipment using schematics, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical inspection techniques Repair and overhaul small engines, including carburetor adjustments, ignition systems, and fuel systems Conduct electrical work such as wiring repairs, soldering, and electrical system troubleshooting on various equipment Maintain and service power generation systems, generators, and heavy-duty equipment to ensure reliable operation Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently Follow safety protocols during manual handling, heavy lifting, and equipment maintenance procedures Document all repairs accurately in service records and communicate findings clearly to customers or team members Experience Proven dealership experience or service technician background with small engine repair or automotive repair is highly preferred Strong mechanical knowledge of engines, electrical systems, and power generation equipment Experience reading schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and diagnostic instruments Familiarity with Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery brands is advantageous Demonstrated ability to perform diesel engine repairs and general vehicle maintenance tasks Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients Join us in delivering top-tier service by applying your mechanical expertise in a fast-paced environment that values innovation and precision.
