Full Job Description Job Title:
Go-Kart Technician Position Summary:
The Go-Kart Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe operation of all go-karts and track equipment. This role plays a critical part in delivering a safe, high-quality guest experience by keeping all vehicles and related systems in top working condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on go-karts Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and complete timely repairs Conduct daily safety checks on karts, track, and related equipment Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs Ensure all karts meet company safety standards before returning to operation Assist with track operations as needed, including kart staging and guest flow Monitor kart performance and proactively address potential issues Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the maintenance area Work closely with operations team to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Documentation & Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts inventory, and ongoing projects Keep up-to-date logs for preventative maintenance as per manufacturer and company standards Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment, notifying management of any needs
Operational Duties:
Perform opening, running, and closing duties for the department as scheduled. Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, assisting with general park cleaning as needed. Operate attractions and provide guest support in line with safety and service standards. Complete additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Basic mechanical knowledge (small engines, electrical systems, or automotive experience preferred) Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, bend, and work on equipment for extended periods Comfortable working in a noisy and fast-paced environment Preferred Experience (not required): Experience with go-karts, small engines, or automotive repair Basic electrical troubleshooting experience Previous experience in an entertainment or attraction environment
