Landscaping Small Engine and Equipment Mechanic

You'll play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the machines that help us beautify the greater Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia areas. What we're looking for: Expertise in small engine repair, particularly 2-cycle engines used in grounds care, landscaping, and snow and ice equipment The proper methods of servicing landscaping equipment and the repair and adjustment of power mowing equipment. Working knowledge of the general operation of gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered equipment. Ability to change oil, hydraulic, and all other necessary fluids in a variety of different vehicles and equipment. A solid understanding of servicing and repairing power mowing equipment Confidence in changing oil, hydraulic, and other essential fluids across various equipment Familiarity with Toro commercial stand-on mowers and general knowledge of gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered equipment Tech-savviness and the ability to quickly learn new computer software Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with a knack for troubleshooting Excellent communication skills and experience managing shop personnel Safety-focused individual with the ability to maintain a clean and secure workspace Knowledge of tire repair and maintenance. Requirements You may be a good fit if you can : Perform maintenance and repairs on landscaping equipment, including stand-on mowers and small two-cycle tools Assist in keeping the parts inventory clean, organized, and well-stocked Be physically capable of lifting and handling objects weighing at least 50 lbs Exhibit independence and resourcefulness, performing tasks with minimal supervision Stay motivated and produce work that reflects high-quality company standards Availability to work off-hours during snow events Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) are a plus Hold a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record Willingness to travel to various branch locations (mileage reimbursed) Provide your own tools for the job Possess DOT Medical Certification Authorized to work in the
