Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our team. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various marine vessels. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on marine engines, systems, and components
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components
- Install new equipment and accessories
- Conduct sea trials to ensure proper functioning of vessels
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
- Some local travel to boat required.
Skills:
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for repairs and installations
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including reading schematics and troubleshooting electrical issues
- Experience with soldering and working with sheet metal
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in all environments
- Excellent customer service skills for interacting with clients
- Must provide your own toolbox & tools. Specialty tools will be provided
