Job Description

Join the SERO Sailing production team building world-class sailboats. This hands-on position may involve fiberglass lamination, bonding, grinding, rigging, assembly, or other manufacturing tasks depending on your experience and the needs of the production team. SERO Innovation is a family-owned and operated company that aims to get more people out on the water by manufacturing small sailboats and innovative products that boaters need. New powerboat coming in 2026. SERO is hiring a detail-oriented, team player, to fill a full-time role as a Marine Production Technician. This person should be able to quickly learn new skills and processes. We are looking for someone who can jump in where and when needed to not only assist in the lamination, fabrication and assembly of small boats, but also contribute in ways that help to grow and improve the shop. This is a great role for someone who is a self-starter and gains satisfaction from his/her craftsmanship . What We Offer A team-oriented work environment Paid, on-the-job training Opportunities for professional development and growth After 30 days: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance; Paid holidays and time off; 401k with company match Duties/Job Functions Laminate composite parts using Vacuum Infusion and open mold processes for low volume production Assemble composite parts using fixtures Trim composite parts; drill specified mounting points; install hardware to customer specifications Contribute to creating efficiencies and improving manufacturing process Finish assembled boats with use of hand tools, sanding tools and polishing equipment Document various steps along the manufacturing process Aid in the packaging and inventory of assembled boats and products Able and willing to work with other departments to accomplish tasks as needed Knowledge & Skills Experience working with fiberglass and other composite materials. Hands-on mechanical skills including the ability to use all common hand tools Knowledge of common hardware Ability to read diagrams and follow verbal instruction to complete simple mechanical/carpentry tasks Ability to evaluate issues and problem-solve without immediate supervision Self-motivated and able to manage own time to achieve deadlines Work environment/Physical Demands Must be able to lift 75 lbs and stand most of the day Must be able to work independently and within a small team Must be able to maintain clean and organized work area Must follow all safety procedures and able to work with chemicals using proper PPE Who You Are Have excellent mechanical ability and likes to work with their hands Strong work ethic and pride in their workmanship Committed to continuous improvement A team player Have great attention to detail Reliable (with reliable mode of transportation) Able to learn new skills and methods quickly Able to perform in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Must be flexible with schedule to accommodate deadlines, sometimes working Saturday/Sunday Schedule Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM 40+hrs/week Some Fridays and Saturdays will be required
