The primary objective is to diagnose, repair, and maintain a diverse fleet, ranging from small two-cycle outdoor power equipment to large heavy machinery and vehicles. The successful candidate will work closely with the fleet manager to ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently. Based in Novi, Michigan, this premier residential and commercial landscaping organization is renowned for creating and maintaining luxury outdoor environments. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical issues and perform accurate repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment and vehicles, including Fords, trailers, skid loaders, excavators, and dozers. Maintain and repair two-cycle outdoor power equipment, such as blowers, chainsaws, lawn mowers, and snow blowers. Conduct routine preventative maintenance across the fleet, including oil changes, spark plug replacements, and filter updates. Inspect all vehicles and outdoor power equipment to guarantee both safety and optimal functionality. Keep accurate, detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules. Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized onsite work area. Requirements Demonstrate proven experience maintaining both small engines and heavy construction equipment. Possess comprehensive knowledge of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, as well as general vehicle mechanics. Hold professional certifications such as ASE, which are highly preferred for this role. Apply strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills to effectively utilize diagnostic tools. Maintain a valid driver's license for vehicle operation and testing.
