Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Marine Technician and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing marine vessels, equipment, and systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of marine assets, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability. As a Marine Technician, you will utilize your mechanical, electrical, and fabrication skills to troubleshoot issues, perform maintenance, and execute repairs with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will directly contribute to the safe operation of marine vessels and equipment in diverse environments. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair marine vessel systems including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and propulsion components using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance such as engine overhauls, rigging adjustments, sheet metal fabrication, welding, soldering, and calibration of precision measuring instruments. Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and heavy lifting equipment to execute repairs accurately and safely. Conduct inspections of vessel structures including hulls and sheet metal components; perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed. Assist in assembly or disassembly of marine equipment during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, schematics documentation, and maintenance logs for all work performed. Support customer service efforts by providing technical advice and ensuring client satisfaction with repair quality and timeliness. Experience Proven service technician experience in marine or heavy equipment maintenance is highly preferred. Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems effectively. Background in mechanical repair or mechanic experience with familiarity in vehicle maintenance or industrial machinery. Experience working with rigging, fabrication, sheet metal work, welding, soldering, and the use of precision measuring instruments. Military background with technical training related to mechanical or electrical systems is a plus. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining high safety standards; excellent customer service skills are essential.
