In this energetic role, you will be at the forefront of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of small engine equipment, including lawnmowers, snowblowers, and other power equipment. Your expertise will ensure equipment runs smoothly and efficiently, providing top-notch service to our valued customers. Duties Diagnose and repair small engine equipment such as lawnmowers, snow blowers, chainsaws, and other small engines using schematics and technical manuals Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, spark plug replacements, blade sharpening, and fuel system servicing Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs accurately and efficiently Troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components on small engines with a focus on diesel engines when applicable Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to identify issues and implement effective repair solutions Conduct quality inspections post-repair to ensure all equipment meets safety and performance standards Maintain detailed written service records and communicate repair status clearly to customers or team members Work well as a team player. Experience Proven dealership experience or service technician background working with small engines or automotive background. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive repair, equipment repair, 2 cycle repair, and some diesel engine systems Hands-on experience with electrical systems is a must. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, computers, and diagnostic procedures for complex machinery Experience working with transmissions is helpful.
