This energetic role offers the opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including lawnmowers, generators, and other power equipment. Your mechanical expertise will ensure our customers' equipment performs reliably and efficiently, contributing to their productivity and satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on small engines, including carburetors, ignition systems, fuel systems, and electrical components. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, and part replacements to ensure optimal engine performance. Repair and service equipment such as lawnmowers, snow blowers, generators, and other power tools with precision. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs safely and efficiently. Interpret technical diagrams and schematics for diesel engine repair and automotive repair tasks when applicable. Maintain detailed service records, document repairs performed, and communicate effectively with customers about their equipment needs. Pick-up and delivery of customer equipment when necessary Skills Proven dealership experience or service technician background working with small engines or power equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in equipment repair and vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems, diesel engines, and automotive components. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other mechanical repair instruments. Excellent customer service skills to explain repairs clearly and build trust with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working on large or bulky equipment. Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques related to small engines or generator repair. Sales aptitude for recommending parts or services that meet customer needs effectively.
