Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine systems and equipment maintenance, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various marine vessels and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on marine vessels to ensure compliance with safety standards. Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, and electronic components. Perform heavy lifting tasks as required for equipment installation and repairs. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and Ohmmeters to assess system functionality. Assemble and weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications. Work with sheet metal for fabrication or repair of vessel structures. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used. Collaborate with other technicians and staff to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry regulations and company policies. Qualifications Proven experience in marine maintenance or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, vehicle maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and their applications in a marine environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) safely and efficiently. Experience with welding techniques is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in various environmental conditions typical of marine settings. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members.Job Type:
