Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Technician to join our growing service team. This position works on both marine and recreational vehicle (RV) equipment, performing diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, inspections, and installations. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and delivering exceptional customer service. Whether your background is in marine, RV, automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, powersports, construction equipment, or general mechanical repair, we provide opportunities for training, skill development, and career advancement. The Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing boats, RVs, trailers, and related systems while ensuring a positive customer experience. We currently service Yamaha, Indmar, Duckworth, and Smoker Craft products and continue to expand our service offerings. Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fuel, steering, and propulsion system issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and lubrication of engines and major components
  • Repair and service boats, RVs, campers, trailers, and related equipment
  • Winterize and prepare marine and RV units for seasonal storage and operation
  • Assist with setup, inspection, testing, and delivery of new units
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment, testing procedures, and repair manuals to identify and resolve issues
  • Operate shop tools, power tools, and service equipment safely and effectively
  • Move, load, unload, and transport boats, RVs, and trailers safely
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair recommendations
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and build positive customer relationships
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow
  • Participate in manufacturer training and continuing education opportunities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Interest in marine repair, RV service, automotive repair, diesel mechanics, powersports, or related technical fields
  • Ability to diagnose and solve mechanical and electrical issues
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and service management software
  • Ability to safely trailer, move, and position boats and RVs
  • Clean driving record required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training and continuing education Preferred Skills

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting
  • Regular use of hands and tools for equipment repair and maintenance
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 80 pounds
