Job Summary:
Inspect boats to determine maintenance needs, mechanical malfunctions, or system failures. Diagnose and repair propulsion systems, including inboard/outboard engines, jet drives, and pod drives. Maintain and repair onboard systems such as electrical wiring, battery banks, generators, air conditioning, plumbing, and water makers. Test and calibrate navigation, communication, and safety equipment. Service hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including stabilizers, thrusters, and steering mechanisms. Conduct refits and installations of new systems or components following manufacturer and classification standards. Perform haul-out, cleaning, and antifouling procedures. Document all maintenance actions, materials used, and test results.
