Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Small Engine Mechanic and become a vital part of our service department! In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines and equipment to ensure optimal performance for our valued customers. Responsibilities Diagnose issues on small engines, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and other outdoor power equipment Perform repairs and maintenance using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex problems Conduct engine repairs on various types of equipment, including gasoline and diesel-powered units Utilize welding, soldering, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs effectively Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair status clearly to customers Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications Requirements Proven experience as a small engine or equipment mechanic, with dealership or service technician background preferred Strong mechanical knowledge of small engines, electrical systems, and diesel engine repair Familiarity with schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and automotive repair techniques Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques Experience repairing generators, heavy machinery, or Caterpillar equipment is a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and automotive repair is advantageous Valid mechanic certification or relevant technical training is preferred Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
