Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mowers/tractors, including oil changes, belt inspections, blade sharpening, deck leveling, etc.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Follow repair manuals and schematics to ensure proper repair procedures are followed.
  • Use power tools and hand tools to complete repairs efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct equipment inspections to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs, including parts used and labor hours.
  • Keep work area clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Skills:
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of small engine systems.
  • Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for repairs.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Experience working in a dealership or equipment repair shop is preferred.
  • Familiarity with reading schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose complex issues.
  • Welding and soldering skills are a plus.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
