This role includes troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine service (battery maintenance, brake work, tire replacement, and tune-ups), installing accessories, and preparing carts for sale or delivery. Technicians are expected to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintain a clean workspace, and provide high-quality workmanship while supporting the sales and service team. Strong problem-solving skills and a basic understanding of electrical systems are essential. A key part of the Golf Cart Technician role at Botero Carts is quality control during the final preparation of carts before delivery. Technicians are responsible for thoroughly inspecting each cart to ensure it meets company standards and is fully ready for the customer. This includes verifying that all mechanical and electrical components are functioning properly, batteries are fully charged and tested, tires are properly inflated, and all accessories are securely installed and operating as intended. Technicians perform a detailed final checklist—checking brakes, steering, lights, turn signals, and overall drivability—to ensure a safe and smooth ride. They also inspect cosmetic details, making sure the cart is clean, free of defects, and presentation-ready. Any issues found during this process must be corrected before the cart leaves the shop. This quality control step is critical in delivering a reliable, polished product and creating a strong first impression for the customer, ensuring consistency with Botero Carts' standards and reducing the likelihood of post-delivery service issues. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools, including an Ohmmeter, to identify problems accurately. Conduct inspections and tests on equipment to detect malfunctions and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and develop effective solutions. Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory. Follow all safety protocols while working in the shop or field environment. Experience Previous experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, including an Ohmmeter, is essential. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Familiarity with various types of machinery and their components is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to team members. Join our dedicated team of professionals where your skills will be valued, and your contributions will make a difference. We look forward to welcoming you aboard!
