Job Description
About us North Point Yacht Sales is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Marine Systems Technician to join our growing service team in Gloucester Point, VA. This role is responsible for diagnosing, installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of electrical, electronics and plumbing systems on powerboats. The ideal candidate is experienced in troubleshooting complex onboard systems and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service. Under the supervision of the Service Manager, the Marine Technician will be responsible for: Diagnose and repair a wide range of marine systems, including: Electrical (AC/DC), Plumbing (freshwater, graywater, blackwater), HVAC, Steering, bow thrusters, and trim tabs Perform installations of new equipment and systems (batteries, chargers, inverters, navigation electronics, pumps, watermakers, etc.) Complete system commissioning for new boats and pre-delivery inspections Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labor hours Ensure compliance with ABYC standards and manufacturer specifications Work with the Service Manger and Service Advisor to complete work in a timely manner. Handle multiple work orders and utilize computer systems to document work that has been performed. Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and in good working conditions and maintain a clean workplace.
