Job Description

This job posting is for a Trowel Mechanic with International Flooring & Protective Coatings (IFPC), working primarily on U.S. Navy ships and related facilities.
What You'll Be Doing Installing:
Terrazzo flooring Color flake flooring systems Carpet VCT (Vinyl Composition Tile) Tile flooring Demolition/rip-out of shipboard interior spaces and commercial building interiors Assisting other trades as needed Working aboard naval vessels and at multiple job locations Preferred Qualifications Shipboard or shipyard experience 2-3 years of verifiable experience in flooring, construction, coatings, demolition, or related trades High school diploma or GED Trade-specific tools Relevant certifications (if applicable) Requirements Valid Real ID driver's license Ability to meet federal background-check standards Availability for day-shift work and occasional weekends Pay & Schedule $20-$30 per hour , depending on experience and skill level Full-time Typically 40-50 hours per week Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts Weekend work may be required How Your Background Fits If you have experience in any of the following, you would likely be a stronger candidate: Flooring installation Tile setting Concrete finishing Terrazzo work Commercial construction Shipyard repair work General labor aboard vessels Coatings or decking installation
Pay:
$21.00 - $29.00 per hour
