Job Description

Job Overview Are you passionate about powersports and small engines? As a Powersports Technician, you will be the driving force behind the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a wide variety of recreational vehicles, including motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, lawn & garden equipment (small engines) and personal watercraft. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on powersports vehicles using diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire replacements, and fluid checks to ensure optimal performance. Repair and replace mechanical components including brakes, suspensions, engines, and electrical systems with precision. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to assemble and repair parts efficiently. Assist customers by explaining repairs needed, offering technical advice, and ensuring their questions are answered clearly. Conduct inspections for safety compliance and perform heavy lifting when handling large or heavy parts. Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
MUST BE ABLE TO SAFELY OPERATE A FORKLIFT, PASS RANDOM DRUG SCREENINGS, AND COMPLY WITH ALL STATE MANDATED REQUESTS
Qualifications Previous dealership experience or service technician background in powersports/small engine repair is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in power sport/small engine diagnostics and repairs. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques. Knowledge of small engine systems including brakes, suspension, engines, electrical components, and assembly processes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments. Valid mechanic experience with a focus on powersports repair is a plus; certifications in automotive diagnostics are advantageous. Pay:
$20.00 - $35.00 per hour
