Job Title :
Boat Refabrication Technician Job Summary :
An individual who can disassemble a boat to do necessary repairs and reassemble. This individual will replace structural wood, floors, carpet, and all other interior or exterior components. Ability to perform small electrical and mechanical repairs as needed. Knowledge to fabricate new support systems for certain repairs.
Required experience:
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, and shop machinery safely and efficiently
  • Strong understanding of boat designs and manufacturing
  • Resolve issues during assembly for final inspection to meet quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols
  • Assist other coworkers to ensure that other projects are completed by a certain date
  • Ability to work independently and as a team Skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Read and comprehend work orders and instructions to complete projects to precise specifications
  • Ability to solve problems independently and effectively
  • Knowledge in various skilled fields
  • Ability to document the process of the project from start to finish
  • Strong communication skills
Physical Requirements:
  • Climbing in and out of boats
  • Standing for a long period of time
  • Bending, kneeling, and crawling occasionally
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
