In this role, you will lead daily operations within the service department, ensuring efficient workflow, exceptional customer service, and high-quality vehicle maintenance. Your expertise will help drive customer satisfaction and foster a productive work environment, all while maintaining adherence to safety standards and technical excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for automotive professionals eager to advance their leadership skills and technical knowledge in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Oversee daily shop operations related to tire services, oil changes, wheel alignments, and minor mechanical repairs Supervise and support technicians in performing automotive diagnostics, brake repairs, suspension work, shocks & struts replacement, and other mechanical tasks Ensure all vehicle maintenance procedures comply with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations Assist customers by providing clear explanations of services performed and recommended repairs to enhance their experience Manage workflow scheduling to optimize productivity while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Maintain accurate records of service work, parts used, and customer interactions for reporting and invoicing purposes Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels of tires, oils, filters, hand tools, power tools, and automotive parts Skills Proven dealership or automotive service center experience with a strong background in tire service, oil changes, alignments, and minor mechanical repairs Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), diesel engine repair, and schematics interpretation Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and auto estimating software to accurately assess vehicle issues Mechanical expertise in working with vehicle suspension systems, brake repair including air brakes where applicable, shocks & struts, auto body repair basics, welding techniques, and auto electrical systems Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools necessary for automotive repair tasks Strong understanding of GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Ability to read technical manuals and schematics efficiently for troubleshooting purposes Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures Join us as an Assistant Manager where your technical skills combined with leadership abilities will make a tangible impact on our team's success.
