Our family run, high volume automotive service and repair shop is looking for a Suspension and Alignment Technician. Pay is based on experience.

You will play a vital role in repairs and troubleshooting a wide range of automotive systems including brakes, ABS, suspension components, and alignments . This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery and training. You must be willing to learn and grow and have your own tools. You must be able to stay busy without being told and follow directions. Duties Perform wheel alignments on various vehicle makes and models, ensuring precise specifications using state-of-the-art alignment equipment Must be able to diagnose suspension and steering issues utilizing diagnostic tools and schematics Repair or replace suspension components such as shocks, struts, control arms, ball joints, tie rods, and bushings with the appropriate hand tools and power tools Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and electrical systems related to vehicle stability control and ADAS features Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues affecting ride quality, handling, or safety concerns Operate and install tires using the latest equipment Assist in vehicle maintenance tasks that involve heavy lifting or manual handling while adhering to safety protocols Requirements Automotive repair experience with a focus on alignment and suspension systems a must Strong understanding of automotive technology, electrical systems, and vehicle diagnostics Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostic tools and equipment used for suspension systems Mechanical knowledge of powertrain components, brakes, tires, suspension and general automotive repair procedures Ability to operate standard passenger cars safely as well as heavier vehicles requiring heavy lifting skills Collaborate with team members to ensure all repairs meet quality standards set by our business Physical ability to perform manual repairs involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing Experience with Mitchell, All Data, Tekmetric or other systems preferred. Ability to stay on tasks and learn new technology. We are a fast paced but tight knit group and you must fit in and be able to stay busy.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
