Front-End Mechanic / Alignment Specialist (Hunter Experience Preferred) Decatur, GA 30032 $23.03 - $27.74 an hour - Full-time $23.03 - $27.74 an hour - Full-time Overview Join our dynamic automotive team as a Front-End Mechanic / Alignment Specialist with Hunter Experience Preferred! In this energetic role, you'll be at the forefront of vehicle maintenance and precision alignment services, ensuring our customers' vehicles perform at their best. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional automotive care, combining mechanical skills with a passion for vehicle performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles, including GM models, and to develop your skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities Perform front-end repairs, including suspension, shocks & struts, and steering components, ensuring optimal vehicle handling and safety. Conduct precise wheel alignments using Hunter alignment equipment to meet manufacturer specifications. Diagnose and troubleshoot automotive issues utilizing schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and electrical system knowledge. Repair and maintain vehicle systems such as brakes, transmissions, powertrain components, and diesel engines. Execute oil changes, tire services, wheel balancing, and other routine maintenance tasks to keep vehicles in top condition. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs and adjustments while adhering to safety standards. Interpret automotive schematics and electrical diagrams to accurately diagnose complex mechanical or electrical problems. Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery and excellent customer satisfaction. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic background with a focus on front-end work and alignments. Strong knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration and air brake systems. Skilled in automotive electrical systems, schematics reading, and diagnostics tools. Mechanical expertise in diesel engine repair, transmissions, powertrain systems, and suspension components. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto body repair techniques. Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus; experience with auto estimating is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately for precise repairs.
