General Service / Tire Technician

55 Tires & Service is hiring a General Service / Tire Technician in South St. Louis County. This position is for someone with real tire experience. You must be comfortable working with different tire and wheel sizes, including passenger vehicles, light trucks, larger wheel/tire packages, low-profile tires, and common tire shop challenges. Alignment experience is a plus. We are not looking for someone who only wants to do basic oil changes. We need someone who can help carry tire work, support the shop, follow procedures, and grow into more responsibility. 55 Tires & Service is a busy 9-bay tire and full-service automotive repair shop that has served the St. Louis area for 29 years. WHAT YOU WILL DO

Mount and balance tires Work with a wide range of tire and wheel sizes Handle passenger car, SUV, light truck, and larger tire/wheel packages Perform tire rotations Perform oil changes and fluid services Replace filters, wipers, and bulbs Perform basic inspections Assist with alignment checks and alignment-related work when qualified Support technicians when needed Keep your area clean and organized Follow shop procedures Learn how to document vehicle findings properly Speed matters. Accuracy matters more.

REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES

Tire shop or tire service experience required Experience with larger wheels, low-profile tires, SUVs, and light trucks preferred Alignment experience is a plus Oil change / general service experience preferred Valid driver's license preferred Must be able to lift tires/wheels and work on your feet throughout the day We will train the right person on our process, but you need to bring real tire experience and a strong work ethic.
