Tire Technician

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert tire services, including installation, repair, and maintenance, to ensure our customers' vehicles operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. A Class E license with a clean driving record is required prior to starting. Must be willing to work rotating half days on Saturday once hired on. Responsibilities Install, repair, and replace tires on a variety of vehicle makes and models using appropriate hand tools and power tools Perform wheel alignments and balancing to optimize vehicle handling and tire longevity Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes and basic mechanical inspections Diagnose tire-related issues and recommend suitable solutions to customers Assist with automotive diagnostics to identify underlying mechanical problems affecting tire wear or vehicle performance Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times Communicate effectively with customers regarding services performed, recommended repairs, and maintenance schedules Support sales efforts by explaining product features and upselling additional services when appropriate Assist in the inventory management of tires, tools, and automotive supplies Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices and new technologies Skills Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a focus on tire service Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and automotive diagnostics Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during tire installations or replacements Familiarity with alignment procedures, oil changes, and general vehicle maintenance tasks Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Previous service technician experience is highly desirable Knowledge of sales techniques related to automotive parts and services Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of automotive systems beyond tires is a plus This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive repair, eager to develop their skills in tire servicing, and committed to providing outstanding customer experiences.
