Job Description

Description:
McMahon's Best-One is a family owned company that has been in business in Fort Wayne since 1969. Here at McMahon's Best-One, we are committed to our customers, the services we provide, our local community and to our fantastic employees. Currently, we are looking for Commercial Tire Technicians to join our growing family at our Bryan, Ohio location. A McMahon's Best-One commercial tire technician is a skilled professional responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and balancing tires on heavy-duty fleet vehicles like semi-trucks, buses, construction machinery, and agricultural equipment. They operate both within a service shop and out in the field to handle emergency roadside assistance calls.
Requirements:
For Tires:
remove, install, rotate, balance, and perform flat repairs on commercial and large equipment tires (in shop or at customer location)
For Retreads:
prepare retreads (discuss tread with customer, prepare work order, put in staging area, load in truck), unload treads (unload from truck and stack in warehouse area)
Equipment:
raise and lower vehicles safely with hydraulic or floor jacks, safely operate all shop machinery, operate and maintain diagnostic equipment Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks Perform all applicable tasks within company's time standards
Commercial Tire Technician Requirements:
Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner. Must have a valid driver's license; driving record must meet company's insurance requirements Position requires continuous standing, bending, lifting and ability to lift up to 50+ pounds. The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.

Works well as a member of a group.
Detail Oriented:
Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well. Must pass a pre-employment background check/drug screen Physical Demands / Work Environment Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.
Lifting:
frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high Repetitive motion Sustained Vibrations Standing for extended periods of time Read ticket and perform work listed; write confirmation and recommendation
Environment:
Work in environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season. Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception) Sense of sound (Alarms, horns and motorized equipment)
PPE:
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, safety harnesses, steel reinforced footwear) Compensation details: 18-26 Hourly Wage PI91949181db92-25404-40860342
